The Arnäsvall Intermodal Terminal – Where Rail Meets Road
Located in Arnäsvall, just north of Örnsköldsvik, the intermodal terminal is a modern logistics hub where rail meets road. With direct connections to the Bothnia Line railway and the E4 highway, the terminal offers efficient and sustainable transport solutions for both regional and national freight flows.
The terminal enables seamless combinations of rail and road transport, resulting in shorter lead times, lower costs, and reduced environmental impact.

Infrastructure
The infrastructure at the Arnäsvall Intermodal Terminal consists of two tracks for loading and unloading of rail wagons:
- Track 302 has a total track length of 760 m, of which 177 m is electrified. The usable loading/stabling length beyond the Gudrun Bridge, without overhead line equipment, is 583 m up to the buffer stop.
- Track 303 has a total track length of 419 m, of which 177 m is electrified. The usable loading/stabling length beyond the Gudrun Bridge, without overhead line equipment, is 242 m up to the buffer stop, including 50 m with direct access to the loading quay and an additional 41 m of track beyond the quay to the buffer stop.
